About
Our Story
Our family has valued gathering around the kitchen and creating delicious and memorable meals for generations. We have all been raised to grow our own produce and raise our own meats whenever possible. Not only did this provide us with the best ingredients possible, but best of all it created unforgettable memories with family preserving & preparing meals. Working toward a common goal, to feed our family and show that simple high quality ingredients are the best base for memorable meals.
We imagined The Porch to be an extension of our own kitchen tables. We always hope that our guests leave with full bellies, a warm heart and intentions to visit again soon!
Some of our recipes are generations old, some of them are brand new. We hope to challenge your pallet while keeping our generational traditions alive.
Siblings Clinton Boyd & Jazmen (Boyd) Bramos have been working on bringing this project alive since the early months of 2020. The world has changed a bit, but the vision has not. We wanted to bring something new, yet traditional, to our beloved hometown of Hillsboro.
Clinton has a degree in electrical engineering and has worked in various construction roles, he has used his experience countless times during the construction & planning process. Jazmen has worked in food and beverage since the age of 13, and earned a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management & Business from The Ohio State University. She intends to use her experience in the everyday operations of The Porch.
Many of the recipes are from our Great Grandma Etta Wyckoff. She was the matriarch of our culinary experiences. She fed many people in her tiny country kitchen in Pike County, Ohio including John Glenn who was great friends with our Grandfather, Charles Wyckoff.
This is a full family venture with our always supportive parents Earl & Lisa Boyd. Also included is Clinton’s wife Marcy, children Carter & Ann. Jazmen’s husband Randy, children Mason & Corbin. Our family has another family business, A-1 Tree Care, which has been in business for over 30 years. All of us have been taught, “the harder you work, the luckier you get!”
We all have a sincere love for our small but mighty town, and we cannot wait to welcome you.
Welcome to the Porch, where time well spent is time well wasted...
